Liz’s Binangkal Recipe


  • 500 grams all purpose flour
  • 200 grams white sugar (optional brown sugar)
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 175 ml evaporated milk
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla essence or vanilla extract
  • Sesame seeds about 1 cup
  • cooking oil for deep frying
Cooking Method:
  1. In  mixing bowl, add in: oil, milk +vanilla extract
  2. In another bowl, Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar. Mix well.
  3. Add the flour mixture to the mixing bowl and knead them until they stick together as dough. Mix thoroughly, but do not over mix.
  4. Scoop the dough and form into a round ball and roll it in a sesame seeds.
  5. Heat the oil in a medium heat, then fry them. Drain excess oil using sifter or vegetable drainer tin.
  6. Serve and enjoy.
